TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: April 1, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer") and FixBridge. By requesting service, accessing our website, or approving an estimate, you expressly agree to these Terms.
1. SERVICE AUTHORIZATION
By booking a service with FixBridge, you authorize our technicians to perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on your appliance. You represent that you are the legal owner of the appliance or have explicit authority from the owner to authorize the repair.
2. THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE & PAYMENTS
-
Non-Refundable Fee: A diagnostic fee is assessed for all service visits. This fee covers travel, time, and professional diagnostic expertise. It is earned in full upon the technician's arrival and is strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether a repair is completed, parts are unavailable, or the Customer declines further service.
-
Payment Terms: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service. All job records, estimates, and invoices managed through our designated CRM platform constitute the official and final record of service.
Service Call Fee Credit Policy
-
The service call fee will be applied toward the cost of repair if the customer chooses to proceed with the recommended service within 5 days of the original service visit.
-
If the customer does not approve the repair within this 5-day period, the service call fee will no longer be eligible to be credited toward the repair cost, and any future service will be treated as a new appointment subject to a new service call fee.
3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by Georgia law, FixBridge’s total financial liability for any claim, damage, or dispute arising out of a service call is strictly limited to the total amount paid by the Customer for that specific service transaction.
-
Consequential Damages Excluded: FixBridge is entirely exempt from liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This explicitly includes, but is not limited to: food or beverage spoilage, loss of use of the appliance, or lost wages.
-
Surrounding Property: Moving appliances is inherently risky. We are not liable for any damage to flooring (including hardwood, tile, and laminate), cabinetry, or countertops that occurs during the necessary removal or installation of the appliance.
-
Pre-Existing Conditions: We are not responsible for the failure of aged, degraded, or improperly installed utility connections (e.g., plumbing valves, electrical outlets, hoses) encountered during service.
4. WATER DAMAGE LIMITATION & WAIVER
Appliances connected to water supplies (e.g., dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators) carry inherent flooding risks.
-
24-Hour Inspection Mandate: For any service involving water lines, valves, or pumps, the Customer assumes the responsibility to visually inspect the appliance and surrounding area for leaks within 24 hours of the technician’s departure.
-
Failure to Mitigate: FixBridge is not liable for water damage, flooding, wood warping, or mold if the Customer fails to report a leak within this 24-hour window. Delayed reporting constitutes a failure to mitigate damages and an immediate waiver of all related claims.
5. WARRANTIES & VOIDANCE
-
Labor Warranty: FixBridge provides a 90-day limited warranty strictly covering the labor performed by our technicians.
-
Parts Warranty: All installed parts are covered solely by their respective manufacturer’s warranty. FixBridge acts only as an installer and makes no independent warranties regarding the manufacturing quality of third-party components.
-
Voiding of Warranty: Any attempt by the Customer, an unauthorized third party, or another repair company to modify, move, or repair the appliance after FixBridge has provided service will immediately and permanently void all warranties.
6. MANDATORY ARBITRATION & CLASS ACTION WAIVER
-
Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach thereof shall be settled by binding arbitration administered in Cherokee County, Georgia. The Customer explicitly waives the right to a trial by jury.
-
Class Action Waiver: The Customer agrees that any claims must be brought in their individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
